I often refer to this song as my theme tune. It exists because one day I wanted to create a track using the Theremin sound as the lead instrument. I thought about it for a minute and this tune came into my head so I immediately played it into a recorder so I didn't forget it.
The robot vocals were recorded by speaking (not singing) the words into a Pentagon 1 software synth and playing the synth notes. It's a technique called vocoding.
The track was going to have a triplet rhythm like the Doctor Who theme but I decided not to because I didn’t want it to sound too much like that theme!
Most songs I create are re-arranged, re-recorded and remixed several times before I am satisfied but this one remained relatively unchanged between its recording and release. Therefore it was easier than some to make and so is one of my favourites!
