You've probably noticed that this is downtempo variation of “Cosmic Invasion”. When I composed “Cosmic Invasion” I had left-over themes I wanted to use and had a choice of either extending that song or making the new one. I’m glad I chose this route as “Cosmic Memories” brings a reflective quality to the album and I rather like the lo-fi organ and piano at the beginning
When I recorded the vocoder vocals, my son was in the room with me at the same time. So I was chanting the words “Cosmic Memories” slowly with headphones on to his bewilderment as he had no idea what the tune was or why I was chanting this so slowly!!
