Hypersonic Hyperdrive

The melody for Hypersonic Hyperdrive had been in my head for years but I delayed recording it because I wanted to get it right and was afraid that it wouldn't be. I was going to save it (again) for some future project but felt compelled to 'bring it forward' and make it the lead single, instead of Comet Rider. The idea for the crazy synth solo at the end came by accident. I was originally just going to repeat the main melody (again) but when playing it on my sequencer, the computer's processor was struggling, causing the notes to 'slur'! I thought that sounded a bit insane so tried a slurry solo and made it as mad as I could - which I think worked! It probably would have been a bit samey if it just repeated the main melody.
